Windows XP: Changing Your Computer’s IP
Address
This procedure must be performed by either the
“Administrator” user, or a user assigned with
administrator level privileges. Refer to the help file
supplied with the operating system for more information.
1.
Click [Start]
J
[My Computer]
J
[My Network Places].
2.
Click [View network connections].
3.
Right-click [Local Area Connection], then click
[Properties].
4.
Select [Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)], then click
[Properties].
5.
Select [Use the following IP address:], then enter the
following values:
– IP address: 192.168.0.xxx (xxx=1–254. Note, 249
cannot be used.)
– Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
6.
Click [OK], then click [OK] to finish.
Windows 2000: Changing Your Computer’s IP
