Main Mode: Using the Unit Connected to a Network
Note:
• Upload of the clip will start after the rec during upload is set
to enable. To prevent the upload error, do not remove the
card from the P2 memory card slot and the microP2 memory
card slot before the transfer finishes.
• Up to 100 clips can be registered in the upload list for the
upload of clips. Clips exceeding 100, excluding the upload-
ed clips and clips failed to upload cannot be registered.
• While recording is stopped, you can add recorded clips to
transfer. From the thumbnail screen, select the menu -
“CLIP” - “COPY” - “FTP” or “FTP(PROXY)”, and then select
clips to transfer. The selected clips are registered in the up-
load list.
• Clips are also automatically transferred during recording,
playback, and thumbnail display.
• If "SHORT SPLIT" is selected in the “FILE SPLIT” menu item
(
➝
page 98) when using the rec during upload function, the
split unit of the recording file will become smaller, making
the timing at which clip transfer starts earlier.
• If the network is disconnected during transfer, or the power
of the unit is turned off and on again, transfer resumes in clip
units.
• During simultaneous recording, only the recorded clips in
slot 1 are transferred automatically.
• Clips of loop recording are not transferred automatically.
• While the rec during upload function is enabled, the last clip
delete function is disabled.
• The directory on the FTP server is not listed in the FTP ex-
plorer screen during the transmission or waiting to transmit
the clips registered in the upload list.
• While the rec during upload function is enabled, the setting
values in the menu “NETWORK” (
➝
page 105) cannot be
changed or initialized.
• The copying between the P2 cards will not operate during
the transmission or waiting to transmit the clips registered in
the upload list.
• The clip delete function will not operate during the transmis-
sion or waiting to transmit the clips registered in the upload
list.
• The format function of the P2 card will not operate during the
transmission or waiting to transmit the clips registered in the
upload list.
• If a file that exceeds 4 GB was recorded with the “FILE
SPLIT” (
➝
page 98) menu item set to “ONE FILE,” that file
cannot be copied.

Establish the network connection between the unit
and a server device.

From the thumbnail screen, select the main menu
“CLIP” - “COPY” - “FTP” or “FTP (PROXY)”, and then
select clips to transfer.
Selected clips are registered in the upload list, and trans-
ferred automatically.
You can check the transfer status of clips registered in the
upload list in the menu “UPLOAD LIST” (
➝
page 105).
The viewfinder or LCD monitor shows the operation status
of the rec during upload function. In addition, the thumb-
nail screen shows the operation status of the rec during
upload function and the transfer status of clips.
Note:
• The clips selected with the manual selection mode will be
transferred prioritized to the clips registered to the upload
list with the automatic transfer mode.
