•
Fill the brine tank with 5L to 10L
clean water. The air check must be
submerged.
•
Start a manual regeneration by
pressing and maintaining the
button for 5 seconds. Once the
softener is in backwash position,
unplug the SXT controller from
the power source. Let stand in the
cycle ‘backwash’ by disconnecting
the power supply. Wait until the
drain water is clear.
•
Put now the valve into the position
“brining” by manual turning or by
push on the button.
•
Check the brine drawing through
the transparent brine tube. Let
stand in this position until the end
of drawing of the water in the brine
tank (air check level).
•
Put now the valve into the position
“fast rinse” and let the softener
go automatically continue to the
position “refill” . Let stand in this
position in order to fill up the brine
tank correctly. Proceed than by
letting the softener automatically
go back in service.
•
Set the right current time on the
timer.
•
With a standard programming,
the regeneration will immediately
take place when volume is on
‘0’ and will alternate to the other
vessel.
•
During the regeneration there
will still be softened water.
•
Fill up the brine tank with salt.
•
Check if the height of the optional
float is higher than the water level.
The user of the unit must pay
attention to the regular refilling
of the salt so that dry salt is
always visible.
•
Repeat above procedure, from its
second step, for the second tank
•
After the softener has been running
a few minutes in service, proceed
to hardness test on outlet water to
make sure the water is treated as
per requirements.
The system is ready and in service.
