13 PREPARATION OF THE PLACE
OF INSTALLATION
13.1 General considerations
There are many factors that contribute to
making the combustion effective in terms of
thermal performance and low emissions of
polluting substances.
Some factors depend on the appliance in which
the combustion takes place, others, instead
depend on environmental characteristics,
installation characteristics and on the level
of ordinary maintenance carried out on the
product.
Some important factors are:
• combustion air;
• characteristics of the combustion product
evacuation system.
The following paragraphs contain some
guidelines to be followed to obtain the maximum
efficiency of the product purchased and to
ensure safe operation. The following instructions
are nevertheless subject to compliance with
any national, regional and municipal laws and
regulations in force in the country where the
product is installed.
13.2 Safety Precautions
The responsibility of the works carried
out in the area where the stove will be
installed falls, and remains, on the user;
the latter is also entrusted with the
execution of the inspections related to
the installation solutions proposed.
The appliance must be installed on floors with
adequate load-bearing capacity, otherwise it is
recommended to use a load-distributing plate
of appropriate size.
For Italy, the technicians must be in
possession of the letter "C" issued by the
Chamber of Commerce on the basis of
Italian Ministerial Decree 37/08.
Users should always use our assistance service
for requests for qualified technicians.
In the case other technicians are involved, it is
recommended to verify their actual abilities.
13.3 Stove installation site
In the product handbook annexed are indicated
the minimum distances with respect to the
combustible materials and articles expressed
in cm that must be respected while positioning
the stove.
Floors made of flammable material such as
wood, parquet, linoleum, laminate or covered
with carpets must be protected by a fireproof
base under the stove that also protects the front
part from the possible falling of combustion
residues during cleaning.
The manufacturer declines all responsibility
for any variations in the characteristics of
the material constituting the floor under the
protection.
The protection should cover the entire area of
the floor in front of the stove.
Provide a technical space accessible for
possible maintenance.
