Turning the device on
Proceed as follows to switch on the device:
1.
Select the mode with the dial “High/Low”
2.
Turn on the device with the power switch in the back of the device
3.
Set the desired setpoint with the dial
5.5.1
Measurable particles as a factor of the mode
The pump capacity is set by selecting the mode The volume flow rate
changes as a factor of the pump output and the selected setpoint.
The device can generate a volume flow rate of approx. 0.9 to 4.6 l/min.
Volume flow rate
•
Low mode, setpoint 30 %:
volume flow rate approx. 1.1 l/min
•
High mode, setpoint 30 %:
volume flow rate approx. 2.3 l/min
•
Low mode, setpoint 80 %:
volume flow rate approx. 2.6 l/min
•
Low mode, setpoint 100 %:
volume flow rate approx. 3.0 l/min
•
High mode, setpoint 80 %:
volume flow rate approx. 4.2 l/min
•
High mode, setpoint 100 %:
volume flow rate approx. 4.6 l/min
The measurable particle number concentration and the measurable particle
stream depend on the lower detection limit of the measuring device used.

These value serve as orientation when using DEHS as the working fluid at
22 °C, 50 % relative humidity and 1013 mbar ambient pressure, measured
with the aerosol spectrometer Palas Promo 2000 and electrical mobility
spectrometer Palas U-SMPS.
Helpful tips on setting
Always move towards the setpoint by starting from below it.
