Port Operation
The auto-negotiation feature allows the ports to run in one of the following operating modes:
Media
Speed
Wiring
10/100/1000Mbps copper

Category 3,4,5 UTP/STP
100Mbps
Category 5 UTP/STP
1000Mbps
Category 5,5e UTP/STP
1000Mbps Fiber
(Mini GBIC required)

The fiber type will vary based on the GBIC type
you use. Please refer to your GBIC User Guide

Configuring the Switch
The SW24-GBP can be configured and managed using a Web browser or command console. The
steps for logging in and configuring the switch through the Web-based GUI are explained below.
The section that follows gives instructions for configuring the switch using the command line
interface.

Web-based Configuration:
Log in to the Web interface
The default values are:
IP Address: 192.168.1.201
Password: None
In order to log in to the SW24-GBP, you must first configure the TCP/IP settings of your PC/notebook.
Follow these steps:

In the Windows Control Panel, double-click
Network Connections
and double-click the
connection of your Network Interface Card (NIC). The Local Area Connection Properties dialog
