Filling
The equipment is optimum filled by means of a conveyor in the throwing direction. When filling by means of a
wheel loader you must pre-couple a larger hopper with a regulating door in consideration of quantity regulation
and maintenance of the capacity.
Operating of the equipment allows for a ⅔ filling of the hopper. Further filling will reduce capacity and
throwing length. A uniform filling will prevent „dripping“.
When filling you must take care that no parts like nails, screws, metal or wooden parts will enter into the grain
thrower. Foreign bodies might damage the belt or drum
Height adjustment
The height is adjusted by means of a crank handle on the filling side of the grain thrower. The equipment is
adjusted either upwards or downwards and thereby throwing high (long) or low (short).
Transportation of equipment
The equipment can be internally drawn by means of a drawbar with 5 km/h. The stand wheel must here always
be pulled up.
At internal transportation over a longer distance you must see to it that the turntable is fixed by means of key-bolts.
When transporting the grain thrower you must be sure that the hopper is empty. Transportation with materials in
the hopper will cause damages that are not covered by the guarantee.
Repair and maintenance
Daily maintenance
1.
The belt must be checked for scratches or wear down on one side and possibly replaced or readjusted.
Setting of the belt takes place on the filling side. Here you will find two adjusting bolts for key no. 30.
IMPORTANT:
Firstly the bearing brackets on the turning/tensioning drums must be loosened
somewhat.
2.
Rubber parts on the side of the hopper must be inspected and possibly adjusted. The side parts must be
pressed as far down on the belt that the side rubber is slightly touching the belt at the first starting-up.
3.
The equipment must be cleaned after each use – especially if aggressive products are used. You must
pay special attention to bearings and electrical parts.
Regular maintenance
1.
On an electrical swing device the couplings, fixtures and cable connections must be controlled at
least once a week. Oil for swing motor: long term oil.
2.
Additional lubrication of ball bearings with new grease must be done app. twice a year, as required.
