Maintenance of refrigeration Dryer
(air cooled)
Daily
Open the manual drain valve for one second every 3 hours of working so as to check if
any condensates discharge itself.
Normally no condensate should discharge since it is automatically being discharged
through the auto drain. Excessive discharge from manual drain indicates clogged orifice
of the auto drain which requires cleaning. The orifice can be cleaned only when the air is
shut off. The following is the procedure for cleaning the orifice.
Discharge through manual drain.
Close ball valve of auto-drain valve.
Disconnect nylon tubing from the bottom of the seperator.
Disconnect the solenoid valve and clean with air pressure.
Connect the valve and tube. And open ball valve of auto-drain valve.
Start the Dryer
Weekly
Since this machine has an air cooled condenser, care should be taken that mud should
not be allowed to clog the fins of condenser coil. This will lower the efficiency of the
machine and shall cause the dew point to rise. The condenser should be periodically
cleaned .
Clean the fan blade periodically
Check the refrigerant through the sight glass. The appearance of the bubbles during
normal running of the Dryer indicates shortage of the gas. (call for authorised service
engineer of the company.)
Monthly
Check the mounting bolts of the compressor, receiver, condenser and iquid Separator for
tightness.
