Baffle
The baffle is made of ceramic glass which allows for the use of a halogen lamp feature. The halogen lamp is
only available on units using the SIT Proflame configuration, the Maxitrol configuration does not include the
use of a halogen lamp.
Installing the ceramic baffle:
1. With the door removed, place one end of the baffle over one of the two upper corners so that the baffle
is resting on a rear peg and a front support (Figure 30).
2. Raise the opposite end of the baffle so that it is raised above the supports on the other side of the
firebox (Figure 31).
3. Slide the baffle over so that it is supported by all four supports (Figure 32).
Cleaning the ceramic glass baffle:
Note: Do not clean the ceramic glass baffle until the fireplace has been turned off long enough for the glass
door and ceramic baffle to sufficiently cool down. Use glass cleaner to clean the ceramic baffle of soot or
other debris.
