Trapped material
1.
Switch the engine off.
2.
Remove the sparkplug lead and keep it at a distance from the sparkplug.
3.
Remove all material from the chute.
4.
Use a spanner to turn the blade rotor, first clockwise and then anti-clockwise until the
blockage is freed.
5.
Remove the discharge chute.
6.
Check the discharge chute for any blockage. If there is a blockage, remove it using a
branch.
7.
Use a wooden pin to loosen and remove material in the blade rotor.
8.
Refit the discharge chute.
9.
Re-fit the sparkplug lead and if required, the battery.
10.
Start the machine and allow the material in the blade rotor to be ejected out through
the discharge chute.
11.
If the material is not freed from the blade rotor, repeat the above-mentioned
procedure.
12.
Check that the blade rotor is free before putting more material in the feed chute.
