Use
This woodchipper is designed to chip wood with a diameter of 10 cm or less.
Never use the machine for any other purpose as this may cause serious
personal injury.
−
The woodchipper can chip dry or fresh material.
−
Feed the material into the feed chute.
−
Keep the wood at the same angle as the feed chute.
−
As the wood becomes shorter in the feed chute, it may be necessary that it is pressed
more using the next branch.
−
If the branch is 5 cm or greater in diameter, then only feed one branch at a time.
−
If the branches are less than 5 cm in diameter, then more than one branch can be fed
at a time.
−
Fresh green branches are easier to work with than hard wood.
−
Ensure that you use gloves when feeding wood into the chute.
NOTICE:
−
Always use common sense when using the woodchipper.
−
Learn what the woodchipper sounds like when it is becoming overloaded.
−
Learn what conditions the woodchipper operates best in and avoid the conditions that
can overload or damage the machine.
−
If material becomes stuck in the machine because of overloading or some other
reason, stop the machine immediately.
−
If material becomes stuck in the machine and the machine is not stopped, you risk
burning the V-belt and damaging the clutch.
NOTICE: This type of damage to the equipment is not covered by the warranty.
It is therefore important that if material becomes stuck in machine that you
switch off the machine immediately.
−
Only through your experiences as the machine operator will you know how fast you
can feed wood and branches into the machine.
−
Check that the blade rotor turns freely before starting the woodchipper.
−
Inspect the woodchipper’s blades for damage every time the woodchipper is taken into
use.
−
Check the state of the blades, counterknife and nuts and bolts that hold the blades in
place and ensure they are securely tightened.
−
To move processed material, use a spade, rake or other tool with a long handle. Never
use hands or feet.
