Starting the machine
1.
Ensure that the oil level is at maximum.
2.
Turn the stop switch clockwise to the ”I” (ON) position.
(Fig. 3)
3.
Open the fuel cock (Fig. 4).
4.
Set the throttle to approx. half gas (Fig. 5).
5.
Close the choke valve. If the engine is hot or if the
ambient temperature is high, allow it to remain open or
half open. If the engine is cold or if the ambient
temperature is low, close the choke valve completely
(Fig. 6).
6.
Pull slowly on the recoil starter cord until you feel
resistance. Allow the cord to move back and then pull
quickly and strongly on the cord. Do not pull the cord all
the way out. Once the engine starts, allow the cord to
return, but do not let go of the handle (Fig. 7).
7.
Insert the throttle lever in the handlebar in the START
position (opens 30
o
) (Fig. 5D)
Only start the engine when the machine is on a loose
surface.
Be aware that the machine moves forward when starting the engine.
If the machine has difficulty in starting, this may be because the oil level is too low.
