Before using the plate compactor for the first time
1.
Ensure that all dirt has been the thoroughly removed from the equipment before
taking the equipment into use. Pay particular attention to the underside of the plate
compactor and areas around the engine’s cooling fins, carburettor and air filter.
2.
Check all joints and check that bolts and screws are sufficiently tightened. Loose
screws and bolts can damage equipment.
3.
Check the V-belt’s tension, see how it is done in the Maintenance chapter.
4.
Check the oil level and fill as required with the recommended engine oil.
The oil should reach somewhere between
the min. and max. marks on the dipstick.
5.
Check the fuel level and fill in the recommended fuel as required.
Paving matt
When using the paving matt, it must be
fitted on the front using three 10 mm bolts
Ensure that there is no sand or soil in the
holes.
