General safety instructions
•
In order to operate the equipment safely, the user must have read and
understood this user manual before operating the equipment for the first time.
•
Always ensure that there is a user manual within reach.
•
If the machine is sold or lent to someone else, the user manual must be
included.
•
Always follow the safety instructions! Failure to do so may lead to personal
injury or injury to others.
•
Do not use the equipment in areas where there is an explosion hazard or in the
vicinity of flammable liquids or gases.
•
Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Always remove the plug by pulling the
plug and not by pulling the cable.
•
The equipment may only be connected to a plug that is correctly installed and
which has an earth connection. The mains voltage and use must comply with
the technical specifications.
•
If the pump is used in pools, garden ponds or similar it must be equipped with
a ground fault circuit breaker with a fuse rated max. 30 mA.
•
Do not bend, pull or drive over the cable and protect it from sharp edges, oil
and heat.
•
Do not use extension cables.
•
Remove the equipment plug from the socket before carrying out any kind of
work on the equipment.
•
Never install the pump if there are people or animals in the water that is to be
pumped (e.g. in a pool) or if people or animals can come into contact with the
water in any other way.
•
Children under the age of 16 may not use the equipment and must be kept at a
safe distance from the equipment when it is operating.
•
Repairs must be carried out by a certified electrician. The incorrect execution of
repairs risks liquid penetrating into the equipment’s electrical components.
