 ADJUSTMENTS

5

ENGLISH

All adjustments can be made in the air, but it is a good idea to sus-

pend the harness first to make the initial adjustments.

Shoulder straps – these should be ad-

justed whilst standing with the harness

buckles engaged so that they are comfort-

ably snug. If the shoulder straps fall off

your shoulders, adjust by tightening the

tabs (pulling them down). If they restrict

you from standing up straight, release the

tabs.

Lumber support – Adjust so that it is

comfortable for your style of flying.

Fully tightened will give an upright posi-

tion, for a more reclined (supine) position

release the lumber support straps.

Chest strap – The maximum setting is

44cm which is ideal for most pilots and

is the distance Ozone recommends. It is

possible to reduce further by tightening

the strap in the air.

Under seat Support -There is a strap

under the seat and between the legs that

when tightened, adds to the comfort of

the harness in flight. This should be left

completely slack before take off so that

it does not restrict your run. It can be

tightened after take off when you are fully

established in flight and free from other

traffic and/or turbulent air.

 SPEED SYSTEM

To fit a speed bar, route the lines though the pulley and then the

guide loop (located on the side of the leg support) ensuring that the

line passes on the outside of all straps and adjustments.

Ensure the speed bar lines are of equal

length, double check that they are not too

short as this may inadvertently activate

the speed system when under tension in

the air.

Check on the ground before flying. Once in

the air, and when it is safe to do so, check

for alignment (speed bar lines are of equal

length), that you can reach full speed and

that the system operates smoothly.

 RESERVE PARACHUTE

The Oxygen1 does not have an integral reserve parachute container.

To fit a reserve parachute you must use a separate front mounted

reserve container (not supplied). The reserve bridles should be at-

tached to the main karabiners, use the same karabiners as used for

the paraglider risers, using extra karabiners for the reserve bridles

can put extra load and strain on the suspension points during deploy-

ment and is therefore not recommended.

 CONNECTING TO THE WING

The Oxygen1 harness can only be attached to the risers of your

paraglider via karabiners using the main hang points. The suspension

points are coloured RED to be easily identified, there are no other

hang points available.
