TROUBLESHOOTING

Sparking visible through the housing 

vents

A small amount of sparking is normal 

 

Excessive sparking could be due to worn carbon 

brushes 

Does not indicate a problem 

 

Replace carbon brushes

Saw will not start

No power supply 

Ensure saw is connected to a mains outlet

Saw starts but runs and performs 

poorly

Workpiece too thick 

 

Incorrect blade size 

 

Motor difficulties

 

Ensure workpiece is within the saws cutting capacity 

 

Ensure correct blade size is fitted

Cutting head will not lower

Safety guard preventing lowering 

The safety guard stop needs to be pulled back to allow the guard to swing up

Mitre table will not rotate

The mitre lock handle not loosened 

 

Mitre adjustment lever needs to be pressed 

Loosen the mitre lock handle before rotating 

 

Press the mitre adjustment lever down

Bevel angle will not adjust

The bevel angle lever needs to be released first

 

Loosen the bevel angle lever then tilt the cutting head

Cutting head will not slide forwards 

or backwards 

The cutting head slide is locked

Loosen the sliding lock before sliding the cutting head
