1   Make a loop with the 

extension cord and push it 

through the hole under the 

on/off trigger.

1   Turn the trimmer upside 

down and place the safety 

guard over the cutting 

head.

3   Align the edging wheel with 

the screw holes at the front 

of the safety guard.

2   Place the loop onto the 

cord retainer and ensure it 

is pulled firmly into place.

2   Rotate the guard into the 

correct position and secure 

with the supplied screw.

4   Secure the edging wheel 

with the remaining supplied 

screws.

NEVER USE THE LINE TRIMMER UNLESS THE 

SAFETY GUARD IS PROPERLY FITTED AND SECURED.

NOTE:

 TO AVOID THE EXTENSION CORD FROM DETACHING; 

ALWAYS CHECK THAT THE CORD IS ATTACHED TO THE CORD 

RETAINER BEFORE USE.

Using the Cord Retainer

1   Place the adjustable 

handle onto the line 

trimmer so that the holes 

align.

1   Depress the adjustable 

head lock button on both 

sides of the motor housing.

1   Depress the lock button on 

the main handle.

3   Rotate the handle into the 

most comfortable position 

and tighten the locking 

knob.

2   Pass the bolt through the 

handle and screw the 

locking knob loosely onto 

bolt.

2   Move the telescopic handle 

into the desired position 

and release the head lock 

button.

2   Rotate the main handle 

into the desired position 

and release the lock 

button.
