Switching ON
For your safety the lawn edger is designed with a lock-off safety switch (1) and dual
safety levers (3). If only one lever is squeezed, the lawn edger will not operate. This
prevents accidental start up of the lawn edger.
CAUTION:
To avoid kickback of the lawn edger, tilt the handle down sufficiently so
the blade does not in contact the ground before switching On.
1. To turn the lawn edger On, press the lock-off safety
switch (1) fully down, then squeeze one of the dual
safety levers (3) (Fig. 7).
2. Release the lock-off safety switch (1) and hold both
dual safety levers (3) in to maintain power and
stability to the lawn edger while in use.
Switching OFF
1. To turn the lawn edger Off, simply release the dual safety levers (3).
Edging
1. Before starting , line up the lawn edger cutting
blade (10) with the edge to be cut. Use the arrows
on the blade guard (11) to assist in guiding you
where the cutting blade (10) will cut (Fig. 8).
2. Tilt the handle down so the cutting blade (10) is sufficiantly above the ground
before switching On, this is to avoid kickback of the lawn edger when started.
3. Switch on the lawn edger and allow the cutting blade (10) to reach full speed.

WARNING!
The lawn edger runs for a few seconds after it has been
switched off. Let the motor come to a complete standstill before setting
the tool down.
WARNING!
Take care that the work area is free of rocks, debris, lines and
other foreighn objects.
