Fuel Economy Mode
The generator has a maximum rated power of 500W in fuel
economy mode.
If you will not be using the generator to run appliances with
a cumulative power draw of 500W, this mode will allow the
generator to run for longer before needing to be refuelled.
Flip the economy mode switch
to the on position to start this
function.
Note:
The generator can be set to economy mode at any point
whether it is already running or not. There is no need to stop and
restart the generator when switching modes.
WARNING!
ENSURE THAT THE POWER DRAW OF ALL
CONNECTED APPLIANCES DOES NOT TOTAL MORE
THAN 500W IN FUEL ECONOMY MODE. FAILURE TO DO
SO WILL CAUSE THE OVERLOAD SWITCH TO TRIP.
Stopping The Generator
Before stopping the generator, turn off any equipment it may be
powering.
1. Set the engine power switch
to the off position.
2. For transport or storage,
set the fuel tap to the ‘OFF’
setting.

Starting The Generator
Before starting the engine, disconnect all appliances from the
generator. Also check that there is sufficient oil and fuel.
1. Set the fuel tap to the ‘OPEN’
position.
2. Set the engine power switch to the
on position.
3. Adjust the choke lever to suit the conditions.
COLD START:
If the weather
is cold, push the choke all
the way right to the ‘ON’
position.
WARM START:
If the
weather is warm, or the
generator has recently been
running, push the choke all
the way to the left in the
‘OFF’ position.
4. Hold the generator steady
with one hand. With the
other hand, pull slightly until
you feel resistance on the
recoil starter, then pull hard
and swiftly.
Note:
Do not let the recoil
starter retract by itself, guide it
back by hand.
Note:
You may have to pull the recoil starter a few times until the
generator starts.
5. Once started, push the
choke all the way left to
the ‘OFF’ position if it’s not
already there.
