Rip Cuts
The combination blade provided with the saw is for
both cross cuts and rip cuts. Ripping is cutting
lengthwise with the grain of the wood. Rip cuts are
easy to do with a rip fence (25) (Fig. 12).
1. To attach the rip fence (25), insert it through the
rip fence slots (11) in the baseplate (15) to the
desired width and secure with the rip fence lock
knob (12) (Fig. 13).

The rip fence (25) can be used from both sides of
the base plate.
Rip Board Guide
When rip cutting large sheets, the rip fence (25) may not allow the desired width
of cut.
1. Clamp or nail a straight piece of 25mm thick timber to the sheet as a guide.

Use the right side of the baseplate (15) against the board guide.
