Instructions for use of the Oxford Digital Indicators

Important

1.

The response speed: 

0.5m/s.

2.

Avoid shocks, impact, dropping etc.; this will effect the precision & accuracy as well
as appearance.

3.

Keep indicator face clean, always avoid liquid getting inside it.

4.

Do not remove output connector lid unless using output interface.

Output end should never be in contact with metal. Doing so could damage your
indicator.

5.

Do not allow any part of the digital indicator to come into contact with electrical
voltage, as this will damage the circuitry.

6.

Always take out the battery if not in use for a long time.

Functions

1.

Zero setting display in any position;

2.

As well as “ON/OFF” button for type 1, the “M” button for type 2 “M” means “multi

function”, offering a data hold function, fast display, tracing of maximum or minimum value;

3.

Metric/Inch system interchange at any position;

Type IDS

1.

Clean the contact point and spindle with a soft cloth before using.

2.

Press the ON/OFF switch. The .00mm or .000mm display appears, and the indicator is

now ready for measurement.

3.

Press “ON/OFF” button to turn off.

Type IDM

1.

Clean the contact point and spindle with a soft cloth before using.

2.

Press the in/mm switch. The .00mm or .000mm display appears, the indicator is now

ready for measurement.

3.

Usages of the “M” button:

a.

Display holding:

press “M” button, “H” appears and display is held at that point.

b.

Fast display:

press “M” button, “H” appears, and press zero button, “FT” appears now

display moves faster. Press “M” button to fast display after measuring and”FT”

disappears. Press “M” again to hold display.

c.

Fast tracing of maximum value:

Pressing “M” twice, “H MAX” appears, then press zero-

setting button, “F.T MAX” appears and now you can track maximum value. Press “M”

button to end tracing of maximum value after recording and “F.T MAX” disappears.

d.

Fast tracing of minimum value:

Press “M” button three times and “H MIN” appears, then

press zero-setting button, “F.T MIN” appears and now you can track minimum value.

Press “M” button to end tracing of minimum value after measuring and “F.T MIN”

disappears. 

4.

Indicator automatically turns off after 5 minutes when not in operation.

Usage of measuring direction button

The customer can select the measuring direction by using the zero button (to read +/–).

Press zero before moving plunger to show – if required & zero again at measurement point to

display as negative.
