5.12 Using Average for Smoothing Waveforms
To smooth the waveform, do the following:
1. Press
the
MENU
key and the function menu appears on the right side of the screen.
2. Press
MENU UP
or
MENU DOWN
key to select
ACQU mode
, with four items selectable
displayed at the bottom of the screen.
3.
Press the F3 key to select
Average Factors
, then, press F4 key to jump to
Averaging 32
item. This averages the outcomes of 32 acquisitions and shows the final averaging result on
the screen, shown as the following figures.

5.13 Using Persistence to Display Waveforms
You can use Persistence to observe dynamic signals.
1. Press
MENU
key and the function menu appears on the right side of the screen.
2. Press
MENU UP
or
MENU DOWN
key to select
DISP SET.
Four
items selectable are
displayed at the bottom of the screen.
3. Press
F2
key to select Persist
1 sec, 2 sec, and 5 sec, infinite or close
. In this case, jump to
Infinite
and the observed dynamic is kept on the screen continuously. When the item
Close
is selected, the
Persistence
function is closed.
Look at the display, a screen like the following figure 15 can be shown.
