These are static-sensitive devices. They are susceptible to invisible dam-
age if not protected during assembly.
We recommend proper grounding by using a grounding strap. Make
sure to work in a clean and static-free area, and avoid wearing clothing
that retains static charges.
2.1 ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the OWC Digital Mercury Helios® 2 from its packaging and place it upside down
on a soft surface, as shown below.
2. Remove the four Phillips screws from the outer enclosure, as circled below in red.
