Fitting/closing

1)  Turn the desk side panel towards the backrest and insert into the side panel mounting (see Fig. 25).

2)  Turn the desk side panel parallel to the wheelchair seat and fold down.

3)  Ensure that the desk side panel engages audibly in the mounting on the frame tube.

5.3.4 Push handles

5.3.4.1 Adjusting the push handles

The  height  of  the  push  handles  of  the  wheelchair  (height-adjustable  push  handles:  see Fig. 26;  telescoping  push
handles: see Fig. 27) can be adjusted to make pushing easier for the companion.

1)  Release the clamping lever.

2)  Adjust the height of the push handles.

3)  Lock the clamping lever securely.

Both push handles must be adjusted to the same height.

5.3.5 Rear wheels

CAUTION

Heat development when braking with push rings

Risk of burns to the hands

Wear leather gloves when travelling at high speeds.

CAUTION

Pinching in exposed drive parts

Risk of pinching and crushing of the hands

To  avoid  hand  injuries,  do  not  grasp  between  the  rear  wheel  and  the  knee  lever  lock  when  driving  your  wheel­
chair.

Do not reach between the spokes of the rear wheel.

5.3.5.1 Removing/fitting the rear wheels

1)  Grip with your fingers between the spokes near the hub.

2)  Press in the knob of the quick-release axle with your thumb.

3)  Pull off/push on the rear wheel. It must not be possible to pull off the wheel shafts when the button is released.
