INFORMATION
Please observe the following important instructions:
- With a thermoplastic test socket, it is recommended that the textile
(e.g. 99B25) be laid under the dummy in order to achieve optimum fit
of the ring in the recess of the socket.
- With a laminated socket, it is recommended that the PVA bag be pulled
over the dummy. Dampen the PVA bag slightly to ensure that it is posi-
tioned perfectly in the contours between the dummy and the plaster model.
- We recommend using a completely laminated socket as definitive socket.
If nevertheless a soft wall socket with carbon frame is selected, then
make sure that the thermoplastic material of the inner socket shows
virtually no shrinkage.
3. Now vacuum form or laminate the socket as usual.
4. Remove the dummy from the groove.
3.4 Installing the ProSeal ring
1. Thoroughly clean the groove in the socket and the ring with isopropyl
alcohol.
• Apply a thin layer of silicone adhesive in the groove in the socket.
• Position the sealing ring in the recess of the socket, with the size label
facing up (proximal) (see Fig. 4). Positioning is simplified when the ring
is pulled into the recess from distal to proximal.
• Remove extruded silicone and allow to set according to the processing
instructions.
3.5 Maintenance instructions
Inspect the ProSeal ring for cracks and replace it when checking the liner
and no later than after one year.
4 Instructions on the care of the ProSeal Ring
Please clean the ProSeal ring on a daily basis using warm water and ph-
neutral soap.
