Prior to the thermal treatment of the product, remove all temperature-
critical components (e.g. plastic parts).

Exposure of the product to unsuitable environmental conditions
Damage, brittleness or destruction due to improper handling

Avoid storage in condensing ambient humidity.

Avoid contact with abrasive substances (e.g. sand, dust).
►
Do not expose the product to temperatures below -10 °C (14 °F) or
above +60 °C (140 °F) (e.g. sauna, excessive sunlight, drying on a
radiator).
5 Preparation for use
5.1 Processing
INFORMATION
The instructions for manufacturing an orthosis with unilateral joint systems
are included in the 646T5=9.1 Technical Information. The laminate struc
ture described here is a recommendation of Ottobock and can be adjusted
to the needs of the patient.

Required tools and materials:
646G15 woven carbon stockinette,
17Y106 PVC profile material, 616G12 carbon fibre cloth, 99B81=* PVA
bag, 623T3=* Perlon stockinette, 636K8 Plastaband, 616G6 Dacron felt,
633W8 wax, 17LF3=* stirrup, 17LS3=* joint bar, 617H55 C-Orthocryl
lamination resin, 743R6 adjustment set for orthotic joints.

Optional:
17LD1=* lamination dummy, stop dummies
1) Place cut pads or shim layers on plaster model.
2) Pull a layer of perlon stockinette over the plaster model.
