nents must not be subjected to intense smoke, dust, vibrations, shocks
or high temperatures. Do not allow debris or liquids to get into the pros-
thesis and its components. Failure to follow these instructions can lead
to malfunctioning and damage to the prosthesis.

Do not use any ag-
gressive cleaning agents since they could cause damage to bearings,
seals and plastic parts. The product is to be cleaned with a damp cloth
and mild soap only.
2.4 Function
12K27=* Elbow Component with Cable Lock

Mechanical elbow with unilateral, tiltable cable lock (18 locking positions in
increments of approx. 7°). The pull cable is used to control the cable lock.
The component are provided with a humeral rotation joint for internal and
external rotation (sickle movement). An internal stop and an external stop
limit internal and external rotation (sickle movement) to approx. 90° on each
side. The degree of friction of the sickle movement in the elbow component
can be adjusted by turning the set screw (Fig. 1).
Because of the fact that the joint constructions are positioned externally, this
elbow component allows the distal residual limb to reach up into the joint ball.
