6. Turn the temperature dial to select the desired water temperature:
Max: boiling water suitable for black tea, hot chocolate, and soup (instant).
Mate: the dial has a “Mate Zone” that corresponds with the “Mate Zone” on the
water window. Turn the dial so that the position of the marker dot on the
dial corresponds with the fill level of the water window, (i.e. if the water fill
volume is in the middle of the water window “Mate Zone,” adjust the dial
so the marker dot is also in the middle of the dial “Mate Zone”).
SUGGESTION 1: You may need to fine-tune your dial position for best results.
Turning the dial clockwise will increase switch-off temperature, and turning the dial
counterclockwise will decrease switch-off temperature.
SUGGESTION 2: When heating water for Mate, once you have adjusted the dial
and found your preferred temperature as described above, keep the fill volume the
same in future use, to ensure consistent results. However, if you wish to increase fill
volume, turn the dial clockwise to compensate. If you wish to decrease fill volume,
adjust the dial counterclockwise.
7. To turn the unit on, move the “ON/OFF” switch downwards to the “ON” position.
The switch will illuminate. The water will heat up and kettle will automatically
switch off when the water reaches the selected temperature.
8. Carefully lift the kettle off the power base and pour out the hot water.
9. To heat water again or heat more water, wait approximately 25 seconds for kettle
to cool and reset, then switch on again as described above.
10. You may switch off your kettle at any time by moving the switch upward to
the “OFF” position.
