Using Your Kettle’

s Keep Warm Feature

(Model 5965 only)

This kettle

 incorporates

 a

keep-warm function,

 which

 maintains

 the

water at

 a

pre-determined temperature

 after

 the

 boiling

 cycle.

 The

 Keep

Warm

 feature

 is

 ideal

 for

 family

 breakfasts,

 commercial

 breaks

 and

cooking.

•

The Keep

 W

arm function

 can

 be

 switched

 on

 before,

 during

 or

 after

boiling. The

 Keep

 W

arm feature

 can

 also

 be

 turned

 off

 at

 any

 time

 if

no longer

 required.

1. Operate

 the

 kettle

 following

 the

 instructions

 contained

 in

 the

 “Using

Your

 Electric

 Kettle”

 section.

 After

 filling

 the

 kettle

 and

 replacing

 it

onto the

 power

 base,

 boil

 water

, then

 press

 the

 Keep

 W

arm button.

The Keep

 W

arm button

 will

 illuminate

 when

 turned

 on.

2. When

 activated,

 the

 Keep

 W

arm function

 will

 maintain

 the

 water

temperature at

 approximately

 70˚C

after boiling.

can be left with the Keep Warm function on for up to 12 hours.

IF THE KETTLE DOES BOIL DRY

If the

 kettle

 is

 operated

 in

 accordance

 with

 instructions

 for

 use,

 it

 is

unlikely that

 the

 kettle

 will

 boil

 dry

. However

, in

 the

 event

 that

 the

kettle does

 boil

 dry

, it

 is

 protected

 by

 a

boil dry

, fail-safe

 device

 which

will switch

 the

 kettle

 off

 automatically

 on

 sensing

 a

boil dry

 situation

and keep

 it

 switched

 off

 until

 the

 kettle

 is

 refilled

 with

 at

 least

 the

minimum amount

 of

 water

. Always

 allow

 the

 kettle

 to

 cool

 for

 half

 an

hour before

 reuse

 if

 the

 kettle

 has

 boiled

 dry

.

If the

 kettle

 boils

 dry

 when

 the

 Keep

 W

arm feature

 is

 activated,

 the

kettle body

 will

 remain

 warm

 until

 switched

 off

 and

 allowed

 to

 cool.
