INDICATION FOR USE
Conditions benefiting from an agonistic force that varies throughout
flexion in proportion to ACL tension applied to the thigh and calf in the
sagittal plane. These may include:
* Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury
• Reconstruction
• Non-surgical treatment.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None known.
WARNINGS
• The brace must be prescribed and fit by a qualified healthcare
provider.
• Rebound ACL can be ordered Custom Made and is a field adaptable
knee brace and should be modified to fit individual patient contour by
an orthotist or qualified practitioner.
• This brace is intended for post-surgical or post-injury rehabilitation. It
is not intended to be used in moderate or high activity and/or impact
sports. A qualified healthcare provider must approve the types of
activities that the patient may engage in while using the brace.
• This knee brace is a supportive brace only and is not intended or
guaranteed to prevent injury; treatment results may vary.
• This product has been designed and tested for single patient use, and
is not recommended for multiple patient use.
• The patient must not adjust the cable tension. Any adjustments to the
cable tension must be made by the healthcare provider. The brace has
been designed to be adjusted to the proper tension using the
provided shear knobs. Adjustment using any other means can result
in excessive tension and injury to the knee.
• In the event of accidental adjustment to the cable tension, the patient
should immediately discontinue use of the brace and contact the
healthcare provider.
• To avoid discomfort and potential impairment of circulation, the
patient should avoid sitting on the frame for an extended period of
time.
• If the device is damaged, or if the patient experiences increased pain,
swelling, sensation changes, excessive pressure, skin irritation or any
adverse reactions while using the brace, immediately discontinue use
of the brace and contact the healthcare provider.
