4.2.2 Dip switch SW1
The interface card can be set into two different modes, host and expansion. Set the interface card to host mode when installing it into a
computer. Set it to expansion mode when using it in the expansion unit.
Host mode: OFF=HOST
Expansion mode: ON=EXP
4.2.3 x8 and x4 LED indicators
The OSS EB2200 is
x8
. The normal LED on the host interface card should display a
x8 link
. With a normal and functional host interface card,
you should see five
solid green LEDs.
When the loss of lock LEDs is illuminated, this signifies that the host is training to x4 or it is not utilizing its
full x8 bandwidth. A x4 Link will display
4 solid green LEDs and 1 amber solid LED
