The order of filters should be the Doulton Ultracarb as the first filter and then the Activated
Alumina as the second filter.
The filter lifetime is approximately:
•
Doulton Ultracarb – 6-12 months
•
Activated Alumina – 6-12months
The housing bowls need to then be screwed onto the bracket and heads and hand tightened. If
necessary you can use the spanner to tighten them further, but do not over tighten.
There are labels provided in the box for you to label up each filter housing after installation.

After installation, run the tap for 5-10 minutes in order to clear any loose carbon.
Please note that the Doulton Ultracarb Filter will slow your flow rate down. At an incoming
pressure of 2 bar, your flow rate should be around 3 litres per minute. At 4 bar you should get
around 6 litres per minute.
The ideal flow rate for maximum filtration is 4-5 litres per minute which you can simply adjust by
turning your cold water tap appropriately.
