4.13 TOWING INSTRUCTIONS
THE MACHINE HAS NO TOWING BRAKES. THE TOWING VEHICLE MUST
BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE MACHINE AT ALL TIMES. TOWING IS NOT
PERMITTED ON HIGHWAY.
KEEP ALL BODY PARTS AWAY FROM MOVING COMPONENTS.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN DEATH
OR SERIOUS INJURY.
MAXIMUM TOWING SPEED: 5 MPH (8 KPH) FOR A DISTANCE OF 5
MILES (8K).
MAXIMUM TOWING GRADE: 25%
The following instructions are for towing using the optional
tow bar.
1.
Lock the turntable in the travel position, with the boom
fully lowered and retracted.
2.
Lower the tow bar to the towing position and connect to
the towing vehicle.
3.
Disengage the drive hubs.
4.
Position the steer/tow selector to the towing (out) posi-
tion.
5.
To return the machine to the self-propelled mode, follow
the above steps in the reverse order.
