Undo the two side-release buckles.
(REF. 410 ONLY) If necessary, detach the sling from the pillow and reposition it
on the actual pillow so it matches up with the marking for the desired degree of
abduction: orange=10°; white=15° (fig. A1).
(EXCEPT FOR REF. 410) If necessary, detach the sling from the pillow and
reposition it with Velcro
®
on the actual pillow on the same side as the shoulder
requiring immobilisation. (fig. A2)
Position the pillow on the hip on the same side as the shoulder requiring
immobilisation.
Fasten the waist strap with the side-release buckle (fig. B) and tighten with
the corresponding Velcro
®
(fig. C). If it is too long, cut to size and reposition the
Y-shaped Velcro
®
strap.
Carefully slide the forearm into the sling (fig. D1), fasten it with the Velcro strap
provided and (REF. 410 ONLY) adjust the length of the back strap (fig. D2).
Pass the vertical strap over the opposite shoulder and fasten the side-release
buckle (fig. E).
Tighten the shoulder strap with the corresponding Velcro
®
. If it is too long, cut to
size and reposition the Y-shaped Velcro
®
strap.
Position the padded sleeve to protect the neck.
Position the thumb support (and exercise ball) and attach it to the pillow with the
Velcro
®
(fig. F).
