Dorsopull74 and Lumbopull corset
If not prescribed, remove the rigid inner frame from the rear section (fig. A) and do
not use it. Otherwise, adjust it to the patient’s anatomy and put it back into the rear
section: for the adjustment, use, for example, the edge of a table or other surface
for leverage if necessary (or use an upset) (fig. B).
Attach the rear brace using the Velcro
®
closure to the inside of the centre section
of the corset (fig. C). Cross and guide the straps of the back brace across the back
and then bring forwards through the appropriate strap guides on the corset (fig. D).
Open the corset (make sure that the tensioning straps are pulled out to their full
length) and secure the Velcro
®
end pieces of the corset and back brace temporarily
to the sides (fig. E).
The shoulder straps of the brace are put on in a similar way to the carry straps
of a rucksack (fig. F).
Put on the corset and use the middle Velcro
®
closure to fasten securely (fig. G).
Note: Pull the corset tight.
Ensure that the central Velcro
®
closure is positioned in the middle.
Tension the corset by pulling on the strap-pulley system using the designated
Velcro
®
closure ends and secure these to the front
adhesive surface using Velcro
®
(fig. H).
Position the end pieces of the dorsolumbar tensioning straps on the stomach pad,
check the length of the straps for tension and cut off any protruding parts (fig. I).
If necessary, adjust the position of the padded shoulder cuff in such a way that the
tube-shaped section is positioned in the armpit. These padded cuffs have a small
adhesive surface on the upper section that enables them to be secured into the
optimum position.
