Instructions for Use
Adding The Targets
1) The shaft is mounted onto the pre-drilled hole found in the base. When inserting the shaft twist the shaft into
place. Do not force shaft down into base. Once the shaft makes contact with the stopper, tighten the three screws
found on the side of pre-drilled hole to lock in place the shaft.
2) It is necessary to mount the two uppercut targets before mounting the arm targets if use of the uppercut
targets is desired.
3) The arm target should be positioned approximately to shoulder height for most effective use. To adjust and
fasten arm position, loosen collars attached to shaft with the Allen wrench provided.
Rest the arm upon your shoulder to determine the proper height. Difficulty of striking the arm target can be varied
by adjusting the position of the arm target - below the shoulder for a slightly more
difficult and refined work-out, or above the shoulder for an easier and more accessible target.
4) Secure the collar with the Allen wrench once the appropriate height has been determined. Try to keep the arm
as straight as possible when tightening the collars.
5) After the arm position is set and bottom collar is secure, slide down the rest of the arm assembly down the
shaft which consists of four bearing washers and two thrust bearings.
6) Make sure the arm is secure without being fastened too tightly. The arm should be able to spin freely and up to
approximately four revolutions with a moderate push. If it is either too loose or tight,
further adjustments need to be made. An indication of the bearing be fastened too tightly is if the movement of
the arm is restricted and rotates without ease. Likewise, a clear indication
that the arm is fastened too loosely is if the bearings rattle upon revolution of the arm.
7) The head target is fastened to parallel the height of the user's head. The position of the head can be adjusted by
loosening and then tightening the screws in the back of the head target.
The target should be tightened until it does not move on the shaft.
8) The position of the uppercut targets can be adjusted similarly to the head target -- by loosening and tightening
the screws found in the back of the target. The position of the uppercut
targets are best put at the mid section of the user but may be adjusted depending on the user's skill level and
comfort.
9) The bag for the head target should be pumped until the bag feels almost full. The bag should have enough air so
it may be squeezed and be able to surround the fingertips.
The needle needs to be wet prior to insertion and pumping.
Although the arm target is made primarily from foam, it is recommended to use Fight Tech with protective
sparring gloves, as persistent contact with the surface can possibly irritate the skin
on some individuals.
Fight Tech can be equipped with the recoil apparatus to generate quicker return strikes by the arm. This is
recommended for advanced users only, as a greater level of agility and coordination
is required. The recoil apparatus will soon be available in addition to a rotating kicking target.
