Set the motor operating current within the motor’s rated current.

If the load is relatively small and there is some allowance in torque,
a slight decrease in the motor operating current may be effective
in reducing the rise in motor temperature or vibration.  

Set the motor standstill current within 50 percent of the motor’s rat-

ed current.  Setting this current too high increases heat genera-
tion, which may damage the motor driver.  However, setting the
standstill current too low may affect the motor’s ability to start or
hold position.  Do not reduce the setting more than necessary.

The minimum settable motor current varies depending on the con-
nected motor and power-source voltage.  Shown below are repre-
sentative values when the driver is combined with each of the ap-
plicable standard motors.
