EL Backlight

The PM800 is equipped with an EL backlight for easy reading in the
dark.

”, the EL backlight will activate for 5 seconds.

Note: Excessive use of the backlight may result in shortened battery
life.

Setting the Heart Rate Alarm

When the pulse reaches the preset high / low limits, the alarm will
activate.

” and hold for 2 seconds until the icon [ ] appears.

The alarm is on.

2. To deactivate, press “

” again and hold for 2 seconds. The

alarm is now off.

Note: When the alarm is active, key tones will sound when any key
is pressed.

Setting the Upper and Lower Limits

It is recommended that care is taken when determining the correct
upper and lower limits of your current physical health, age and sex.
The alarm used in combination with this function will allow you to
react instantly and adjust the intensity of your workout to achieve
maximum results.

To set the upper and lower limits:

1. Press “MODE” to enter Stopwatch

display mode.

2. Press “ADJUST” and hold for

about 2 seconds, the display will

show “hold” command.
