Communication abnormal:
communication between lower
controller and computer failed
Can’t start machine; E1 display on computer with 3 beeps.
Check wire connection between lower controller and computer,
including connectors, pins and wires. Change wire to test.
E2
No Speed signal :
There’s voltage output to DC
motor; but computer could not
get speed signal for over 3
seconds
E2 display on computer with 3 beeps, no display in other windows.
Machine can be switched OFF and ON again, but when Start key
is pressed, E2 may appear again after 3 seconds and running belt
will stop.
Check speed sensor to make sure it
’s intact; check connection
wire and connector; re-plug or change speed sensor to test
E3
Overload protection:
DC motor drawing higher
current than set value
E3 display on computer with 3 beeps, no display in other windows.
Machine can be switched OFF and ON again, when Start key is
pressed, running belt should be able to move. But after standing
on running belt or running at high speed, E3 may appear again.
When load is over the set value due to excessive friction between
running deck and running belt, or motor dysfunction, or lower
controller dysfunction, or AC input voltage lower than 200v,
system will shut down to protect itself. Check deck and running
belt for excessive wear and tear, adjust belt tension to moderate
level, clean and lubricate running deck to test. Measure input
voltage to make sure it’s above 200V or change to another power
outlet. Check if there’s burning smell from lower controller and/or
motor; change lower controller/motor where necessary.
Motor wire not connected
E3 display on computer with 3 beeps, no display in other windows.
Machine can be switched OFF and ON again, but when Start key
is pressed, running belt would not move and E3 may appear
again.
Check motor wire connection between DC motor and lower
controller, re-plug or change wire. Check lower controller for
burning smell, change lower controller to test.
E4
Incline calibration
(self-learning) failure
E4 display on computer with 3 beeps, no display in other windows.
Machine can be switched OFF and ON again, when Start key is
pressed, E4 may appear again.
Check incline motor sensor wire and AC wire are plugged into
lower control board correctly; match +/- with colored wires; test
continuity in connection wires; replace wire and/or incline motor to
test; finally, do the calibrate testing according to below steps.
E5
Incline sensor error
E5 display on computer with 3 beeps, no display in other
windows. Machine can be switched OFF and ON again, when
Start key is pressed, E5 may appear again
