Instructions for cleaning surfaces of parts of food contact devices
• The device must not adversely affect the quality and properties of the food when it
is used, so regular and thorough cleaning of all surfaces that come into contact with
processed food is necessary.
• After using the appliance, it is always necessary to clean all parts of food and grease. It
is important to thoroughly clean surfaces from residues, grease and greasy deposits.
• Follow these steps:
- Disassemble (as directed) parts and components that are individually washable either
directly under running hot water or can be immersed in warm water to which a suitable
detergent has been added.
- Thoroughly remove visible food residues from all parts of the machine (food processing
parts).
• Wiping all surfaces with a dry paper towel is a convenient way.
- Immerse individual parts of the appliance in a kitchen sink (or suitable container) with
warm water and a small amount of detergent concentrate. Allow the cleaning solution to
act for a few minutes.
- Subsequent contaminated areas with adequate pressure, but wipe thoroughly with a
soft cleaning sponge and remove any food and grease residue.
- Clean the surfaces of the parts so cleaned with clean warm water using a soft sponge
or cloth.
Repeat this procedure as necessary to remove any detergent residue.
- Finally, dry cleaned and washed surfaces thoroughly with a soft cloth or paper towel or
let them dry.
• Thorough cleaning is important when cleaning equipment (food contact parts and
components), as food residues tend to be subject to putrefaction and thus contaminate
safe food during subsequent processing.
