General
This Electra Installation Guide introduces the operation, installation, maintenance and use of the Oras
Electra faucet. Please read the instructions carefully prior to installation and save them for reference
where servicing may be needed. If any fault or malfunction occurs in the faucet, please seek the best
possible advice at an expert HVAC store.
Operation
The touchless Electra lavatory faucet is switched on and off by a sensor-controlled solenoid valve.
Placing your hands within the sensor’s opening range (c. 14 cm) opens the solenoid valve and
water starts to flow. When you withdraw your hands (closing range c. 40 cm), Electra turns itself
off automatically following a preset afterflow period (1 sec.).
The faucet’s temperature adjustment
handle is equipped with a limiter that can be bypassed by lifting and turning the handle anti-clockwise.
Simultaneously lift and turn the handle clockwise, as far as it goes, to close the water inlet to the faucet
for operations such as e.g. cleaning the lavatory.
Cleaning the faucet
In cleaning the external surfaces of the faucet, the same rules apply as in cleaning painted surfaces at
home in general. Regular cleaning of the faucet surfaces should be carried out using a neutral or slightly
alkaline (pH 6-9) liquid cleaner such as e.g. a soap solution or many washing-up liquids (but not dishwasher
detergents). (Always follow the cleaning product manufacturer’s directions and dilution instructions.) Do
not use organic solvents, corrosive and/or abrasive agents or devices.
– Clean the faucet with a sponge or soft cloth wetted with cleaning solution.
– Rinse with plenty of clean, lukewarm water.
– Wipe the faucet dry.
Risk of freezing
It is essential to ensure that water in the faucet and solenoid valve does not freeze.
Protection against vandalism
If the sensor is continuously covered for more than 2 minutes, the faucet shuts off automatically. Remove
any obstacle (e.g. chewing gum, tape) from the sensor to return the faucet to normal operation.
