2.3.1  FIPS 140-2 Logical Interface Mapping 

Figure  3  shows the  front of the  StorageTek T10000D Tape Drive.   The opening 
provides  an  entryway  for  an  approved  StorageTek  T10000  T1  or  T2  Tape 
Cartridge.  The ETD will not operate if the wrong tape cartridge is inserted.  This 
entryway  provides  the  Tape  Head  and  RFID

  Reader/Writer  as  physical 

interfaces to the tape cartridge.  The opening at the front of the module is the only 
opening in the module.  It does not provide access to the interior of the module.
