1. Characteristics
Direct interface between the SMP94 system and the UMX-01/0.
By means of this card the elements of the SMP-94 system (SMP-94RS, SMP-94RC, SMP-94R, C-610R94,
BX-94) can be interconnected with the modular matrix UMX-01/0, so that messages can be sent to one or
several zones/groups of the audio matrix from any desk in the system without the need for a PC.
It also enables pre-recorded messages on UMX-MP3 cards of the UMX-01/0 to
be activated from a SMP-94RS desk (the UMX-94R and UMX-MP3 cards must
be on the same frame).
It has RX/TX indicator LEDs and audio level adjustment. It is con
fi
gured from
the keyboard of the UMX01/0 or through a PC.
It does NOT deliver power supply to the SMP94 BUS.

4. Connection
The system uses a communication
bus formed by two twisted pairs
plus a shield. One of the pairs
is used for the audio and the
PHANTOM supply and the other
pair is used for the data.
Data is transmitted with a standard
galvanically insulated RS-485.
To connect the card to the BUS, see
Figure 3A. If it is an end of line,
the termination resistor must be
connected, as indicated in Figure
3B.
