Device Setup
The “Device Setup” section of the Setup Menu system allows you to configure additional player options related
to the hardware and control functions. The menu items in this section are:

View current firmware version and system information

Firmware Information
: To display the currently installed firmware version.

Firmware Upgrade
: To upgrade the player’s firmware. Please note that this operation is only
available when the playback is completely stopped, or when there is no disc loaded. There are
three ways to upgrade the player’s firmware:

Via USB
– You may download the firmware files from the OPPO Digital web site to a USB
drive and then use the USB drive to upgrade the player. Please follow the instructions on
the firmware download web page.

Via Disc
– You may requests a firmware upgrade disc from OPPO Digital or download a
disc image from the OPPO Digital web site and burn an upgrade disc. Please follow the
instructions that come with the upgrade disc.

Via Network
– If the player has a working Internet connection (see page 19 and 77), you
may upgrade the player directly over the Internet. Please follow the instructions on your TV
screen.
NOTE
The firmware is the system software that controls the features and functions of the player.
Since the Blu-ray Disc specifications are still new and evolving, it is quite possible that
recently-released Blu-ray discs use certain new features that were not available when the
player was designed and sold. To ensure the best viewing experience, it is important to keep
the player’s firmware up-to-date. Please visit OPPO Digital website at www.oppodigital.com,
choose your player model and check for firmware updates, as well as the instructions.

Firmware Notification (on/off)
: To turn on/off the capability that the player automatically check
whether any new firmware versions are available on the server and notify the user about new
firmware on the screen. To receive the notification, a working internet connection is required. By
default it is turned ON.
4.
Remote Control Code:
The OPPO BDP-95 Blu-ray Disc Player can respond to one of 4 sets of
remote control codes. The default is “Code 1”. If you have other OPPO products placed close to the
