The Meriva’s 1.4i 16v VVT (100PS) engine features Variable Valve Timing technology for high fuel
economy and performance. Meriva’s three turbocharged diesel engines feature fuel-injection
and common rail diesel technology, which cuts emissions, reduces noise and lowers fuel
consumption. There are now two ecoFLEX engines, the 1.3CDTi (95PS) is joined by a new
powerful 1.6CDTi that produces 136PS and 320Nm of torque and yet still delivers excellent fuel
economy and CO
2
emissions of just 116g/km. This new ecoFLEX engine also features Start/Stop
technology as standard. Saving even more fuel by automatically stopping the engine when you
come to a standstill and restarting when you want to move off.
