Time

Set time statically. Time can be stored to persistent memory (flash) such that the device will
begin  to  count  from  the  configured  time  at  boot  instead  of  counting  from  0.  The  static  UTC
offset may also be set in this menu.
Note that if GPS is enabled the stored time value as well as UTC offset will be overridden. If
GPS is disabled time will also be set on runtime in addition to memory.

Section

Description

Time

Time can be set manually from IPSet via this menu.

Device  time  –  PTP
Time (TAI)

This  is  the  devices  true  time  clock.  If  no  time  is  visible,  the
device does not answer the GET TIME dataset.

Device  time –
(From TAI)

This is the device true time

converted

 to local time. This time

is shown for clarity reasons. When setting time it is
convenient to use the computers time which normally will be
in local time zone of the computer location.

Set time

When checked, a “Set” will trigger a set time command to the
device. When unchecked, no alterations of time will be made.

If the GPS is enabled at the time of a “Set”, the device time
will be stored to flash and the device will continue to use
GPS time until it is rebooted and the GPS is disabled.
