About Signal Wait function
Signal Wait is the function which switches the MD to
Signal Wait recording pause if the incoming signal
stops for four seconds or longer. “Signal Wait”
appears in the display while waiting for the next
incoming signal.
If the signal starts coming in within about 26 seconds
the MD starts recording. (If more than 26 seconds
have elapsed without incoming signals, the MD will
be switched back to the normal recording pause.)
Notes
• This function always operates when the LevelSync
function is On. If you set LevelSync function to Off (see
page 25), then Signal Wait function does not operate.
• For track numbers to be marked automatically, the
signature code included in the digital signal at the
beginning and ending of each track is necessary. Some
equipment and broadcasts do not include this signal, and
in such a case track numbers will not be marked
automatically.
