Various ways of playing CDs and MDs
Five different playback modes are available in addition to normal playback in
Basic Operation. Insert the CD or MD before you operate (see page 16 and 18).
MEMORY playback
You can select and store track numbers (up to 25) in
the desired playback order.
While the source is CD or MD, and in stop mode

Press
MODE
/AUTO/MONO
repeatedly until the MEMORY
indicator lights in the display.

Turn MULTI JOG to select the
first track you want to play back,
then press MULTI JOG.
The selected track is stored in memory.
To select the next track to be played,
repeat this step.

To erase a track number from memory
• While in MEMORY playback mode, and the CD/MD is
stopped, press EDIT/CLEAR/NO. Each press erases the
last track number stored in memory.
• If you change the playback mode, all the stored data for
MEMORY playback will be erased.
To select a track number in memory
Turn MULTI JOG or press it repeatedly during MEMORY
playback.
To check the track numbers in memory
Press
/
while the CD/MD is stopped.

number stored in memory.
• If you change the playback mode, all the stored data for
MEMORY playback will be erased.

To check the track numbers in memory

while the CD/MD is stopped.
To cancel a track number stored in
memory
Press EDIT/CLEAR/NO. Each press
erases the last track number stored in
memory.
Note
If the total playing time of the programmed
tracks exceeds the time below, “---:--” will
be displayed. Even in such case, MEMORY
playback will be carried out normally.
CD : 99 minutes and 59 seconds
MD : 255 minutes and 59 seconds
