Presetting radio stations automatically
Auto presetting stores frequencies into memory for use in selecting radio stations
by channel.

Press STANDBY/ON to turn on
the unit.

Auto presetting starts. It scans the best
signal quality radio stations starting
from the lowest frequency to the
highest, then presets the selected
radio stations to the channels
sequentially, starting with 1.

Before presetting
• You can preset up to 30 channels.
• If any radio stations are preset in the channels
before you start auto presetting, all the preset
channels will be replaced.
Note
Auto presetting may store noise to some preset channels
instead of radio stations depending on the area where you
live. In such case, erase them manually (see page 47).
If auto presetting is unsuccessful
Check the antenna (aerial) connection and position (see
page 6).
If you had a power failure or disconnected the AC
power cord (mains lead)
Memory will normally be preserved for two days after the
power supply has stopped. If the data in memory has
erased, repeat auto presetting.
Customizing the preset channels
The following additional functions are available:
• Naming the preset channels (see page 30),
• Erasing the preset channels (see page 47),
• Copying the radio station in the selected channel to
another (see page 47), and
• Presetting radio stations manually (see page 46).
