HANDLING OF OPTICAL PICKUP
The laser diode in the optical pickup block is so sensitive to static electricity,surge current and etc.
That the components are liable to be broken down or its reliability remarkably deteriorated.
During repair,carefully take the following precautions.
Remove the two machine screws and remove the bottom
board is detached.

Connect J001 (or LD short terminal 2) on CD connector

Remove FFC P101 on the CD connector PC
board.

Solder the LD short terminal 1 on pickup unit.

Remove the screw.

FFC(P010)
Disconnect the flexible flat cable P010.
Replace the pickup.
2. Exchange picking up the MD mechanism done according to the work procedure which has been described to
method (P21) of decomposing the MD mechanism.
